Common questions

Do apprenticeships pay?

Yes. Apprentices earn a paycheck from day one and get raises as they learn. You are paid to train instead of paying tuition.

How long does an apprenticeship take?

Most registered apprenticeships take 2 to 5 years depending on the trade. Electrical and plumbing programs usually run 4 to 5 years, while some construction trades finish sooner.

Do I need a college degree to start an apprenticeship?

No. Most apprenticeships require a high school diploma or GED, and some accept you while you finish it.
